Liquid Assets: Financing Texas’ Water Future SMFS is holding this event in collaboration with the UT Austin LBJ School and its newly launched Center on Municipal Capital Markets. With rising demand, aging infrastructure, and unpredictable climate patterns, Texas faces a growing challenge: how to ensure reliable, sustainable water access for the future and, of course, how to pay for it. This panel will bring together experts for an interdisciplinary dialogue on what resources we have, what we need, and what it takes to bridge the gap, while also exploring opportunities for innovation in technology and financing. Following the panel, join us for a reception and scrum for some networking and a spirited discussion about an array of topics across different sectors that are top of mind for municipal analysts. Light bites, beer and wine will be served. The event is free of charge for all attendees. The dress code is business casual. To register, click here. Location: LBJ School of Public Affairs 2315 Red River St., Austin, TX 78712 **Room Change** The panel will be in Bass Lecture Hall. Bass Lecture Hall is located at the basement level of the LBJ School of Public Affairs, directly across from the Lady Bird Johnson wall mural. When you enter the lobby, you will take the stairs or elevator down to the basement (B) level. The scrum/networking event will be held in the south lobby of the same building.
